When it comes to the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date, they don’t come any more classic than this. With a stainless steel Oyster case, smooth polished bezel and bright satin finished dial, it’s a perfect every day wristwatch. Automatically wound, the watch is powered by Rolex’s calibre 3035 which has both a hack feature for accurate time setting and a provision for quick date change via its secondary crown setting. A great example of the model, it’s just as alluring now as it was 40 years ago.

An elegant lady’s dress watch, this Rolex comes from the watchmaker’s Cellini ‘Biseau’ range that was originally launched in the second half of the 1970s and discontinued in the early 1990s. This example was originally sold in 1990 and comes with its original Rolex punch numbered guarantee paper, receipt and insurance valuation. The watch has an 18ct white gold case and bright satin finished silver dial. The black lizard Rolex strap is fitted with an 18ct white gold Rolex pin buckle.

Originally introduced in 1970, the Ref. 136.070 was produced with a variety of different dial designs, the satin blue dial being one of the more unusual variants. The two-piece stainless steel case has a solid upper body with chamfered bezel and a screw-down satin finished case back. Powered by the Omega calibre 613, this model has provision for quick date adjustment.

Omega first released the Ref. 166.0163 in 1973 and the serial number of the present watch would suggest that it was among the first examples of this model to be made. The watch has a classic silvered dial with applied baton indexes that have black inserts – the hands are styled to match with both black and luminescent panels. The watch is automatically wound via an Omega calibre 1012 which has a hack feature and provision for quick date change. Accompanied by an Omega presentation case with retailer’s sticker for W. B. Scott & Sons, a  jeweller formerly based at 4, High Street, Ludlow – not far from present day Black Bough.

A rare Omega model, this reference 2462 has pronounced sculptural flame-form lugs. With their unusual form, the lugs provide interesting and varied shaping to the case when viewed from different angles. The silvered dial has mirror-finished silver foil Arabic numerals and the leaf-shaped hour and minute hands contrast with the red centre seconds.
