OMEGA Chronostop Seamaster Ref. 145.007, circa 1967

Our latest update to the watches on our website has been completed. To receive these updates directly to your inbox, please select the ‘sign up for news’ tab above. Amongst the new pieces added is the very large and impressive Omega Chronostop shown above. This is a superb example of the 145.007 reference which Omega first introduced in 1967. Interestingly, the serial number of this watch dates it to that same launch year. The 41mm wide case and sporty styling has led this to become one of the most popular of Omega’s vintage models and it’s certainly one of my favourite sport watches.

ROLEX 14ct gold Oyster Perpetual Chronometer Ref. 1002, hallmarked 1975

Next up is a fine Rolex Oyster Perpetual Chronometer, Ref. 1002, dating to 1975. This watch was supplied by Rolex to the UK market but is interestingly in 14ct gold, a carat more usually seen in watches destined for the U.S. market. During the period this watch was made, Rolex duplicated the serial number that is found between the lugs to the inside of the case back – this was done on precious metal watches destined for the UK market to avoid confusion when the cases were hallmarked following import. It’s a nice detail to see and confirms the original country of sale. This watch is in great condition with a lovely rich ‘champagne’ coloured dial and well defined case.

OMEGA Seamaster Ref. 166.032, circa 1968 steel automatic centre seconds wristwatch with grey dial, day and date

Above is a very handsome and unusual Omega Seamster, Ref. 166.032, made in circa 1968. This watch is large for the period of production with a case diameter of 36.5mm and has a superb grey coloured dial with a circular grained satin finish. The watch is complete with its steel Omega bracelet – it’s also rather handsome on a simple black leather strap, so I’ve shown it with and without bracelet above. The movement is the excellent 24 jewel, Omega calibre 752 which is automatically wound and has provision for fast date change.

omega art deco lady's and omega 1972 gentleman's

Also just added is a rare lady’s Art Deco wristwatch made by Omega in the mid 1930s. The elegant design includes stirrup-form lugs and a high quality silvered dial with enamel fired numerals and attractive blued steel hands. Rather later in date is the classic gentleman’s dress watch shown above right. This watch is made in 9ct gold and hallmarked for 1972. The manually wound movement has fast date change via the crown.
