Gold Vacheron Constantin Ref. 7594 vintage wristwatch, made in 1969
A fine 18ct yellow gold manually wound tonneau form wristwatch with original 18ct gold buckle, branded VC presentation case and an Extract from the Archives

This Vacheron Constantin wristwatch is in exceptional condition showing little sign of use. The watch is accompanied by its original Vacheron Constantin 18ct gold buckle, burgundy coloured presentation case and an Extract from the Archives which confirms production of the present watch in 1969. Reference 7594 incorporates Vacheron Constantin’s famous calibre 1003 movement which contains 120 parts and is stamped with the Seal of Geneva. At the time of its launch, at the Basel Watch Fair of 1955, the calibre 1003 was the thinnest manually wound movement in the world with a depth of just 1.64mm. The launch of this ultra slim 1003 movement was the result of 30 years research and development by Vacheron Constantin’s watchmakers and its launch in 1955 also coincided with the firm’s 200 year anniversary [See Cologni, F., Secrets of Vacheron Constantin, Editions Flamirion 2005, p.157].

Made to the highest standards, the movement is beautifully finished with Geneva stripes to the plates, whilst the dial has a wonderful silky matte, silvered finish with bold Roman numerals. The crisp 18ct yellow gold case has a tonneau shape with stepped bezel and flat satin-finished back. We have fitted the watch with a new Hirsch leather strap, however, the watch is also accompanied by its original Vacheron Constantin black leather strap.
