Tudor / Rolex Royal gold vintage wristwatch, hallmarked 1956
A mid-sized 9ct yellow gold manually wound centre seconds wristwatch
This mid-sized Tudor has a cream coloured dial with an outer chapter ring composed of concentric, engine-turned, wave patterns. Tudor’s ‘Royal’ range included their premium movements which, during the 1950s, were 17 jewel calibres for their manually wound models. The 9ct gold case was made for Rolex by the Dennison case company and is a Dennison Ref. 12856 which is notable for its handsome, faceted lugs.
