Tudor / Rolex Oyster Royal Ref. 7934 vintage wristwatch, dated 1959
A stainless steel manually wound centre seconds wristwatch with rare two-tone engine-turned champagne dial
Made in 1959, this Tudor wristwatch has a rare and unusual, matte, light champagne dial with an engine-turned outer chapter ring for the raised Arabic numerals. The dial is in excellent original condition and the contrast between the engine-turned outer ring and the dial centre creates a two-tone finish; subtle colour variations between the sections are seen as light crosses the surface. The steel Rolex Oyster case has the classic screw-down crown and case back and a smooth polished bezel.
As part of this watch’s service, it has been pressure tested for water-resistance for depths up to 100m.
