Description
Steel Tudor / Rolex Oyster Ref. 7803 vintage wristwatch, circa 1950
A stainless steel manually wound centre seconds wristwatch with ‘honeycomb’ dial
Dating to circa 1950, the styling of this watch is still very much influenced by watch designs of the 1940s, notably the feuille or leaf-shaped hands and the softened combination Arabic and baton indexes. The stainless steel Oyster case is also of modest, 1940s proportions. The handsome textured dial has a ‘honeycomb’ finish which was in vogue for a short period of time in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
