Gold Tudor vintage wristwatch, hallmarked 1959
A gold mid-sized manually wound centre seconds wristwatch with original presentation case and receipt
This watch has a very unusual, textured, silvered dial. The dial’s background has a cross-hatched web-form texture which is overlaid with asymmetrically placed, ribbed, oval-form motifs. The effect gives the dial a unique wave-form appearance as the dial catches the light and provides a great sense of three-dimensionality. Cased in 9ct yellow gold, the watch is powered by a manually wound movement and the watch is accompanied by its original Tudor presentation case and receipt.
Tudor calibre 1156 manually wound movement, lever escapement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, 18,000 BPH, Kif shock absorber; multi-textured silvered dial, raised gold coloured Arabic and faceted triangular numerals, numerals, dauphine hands, outer minute/seconds track; 9ct yellow gold case, faceted angled lugs, snap-on case back, chamfered bezel; case, dial and movement signed.
