Below is a catalogue entry from a 1954 Rolex catalogue which illustrates this model within Tudor’s ‘Fifteen‘ line. The ‘Fifteen‘ range was so-named after the 15 jewel movements that the models incorporated. This example of the model has an attractive silvered dial which has acquired a light, warm and even patination to the surface.
[M] Tudor finished AS 1187/94 manually wound movement, lever escapement, 15 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, 18,000 BPH [D] silvered dial, raised gilded Arabic numerals, feuille hands, centre seconds, black outer track for mintues/seconds [C] 9ct yellow gold two-piece case with polished finish, moulded bezel, snap-on satin finished case back [S] case, dial and movement signed
