Timestone – Slipcase Edition – Geoffrey Adams
Written and photographed by Geoffrey Adams this book is a reflection in both words and photography inspired by the landscape and ancient stone buildings of Shropshire and Herefordshire.
In his foreword to the book Sir Roy Strong writes that “there is something haunting and elegiac about these monochrome images gathered together as a meditation on stone.”
The images also pay homage to the skill of the stonemason and the enduring use that those skills have been put to; from standing stones such as those at Mitchell’s Fold which is a Bronze Age creation to the Norman churches and numerous castles that populate the landscape of these two counties.
This edition is presented in a handsome cloth bound slipcase and the book is also cloth bound.
