Sylvac Ref. 1345 Vase

This shape vase was produced by Sylvac both under their own name and also in the name of Falconware. This is a particularly large version of the shape.

Sylvac were a pottery company based in Longton, Staffordshire part of the conurbation that is now known as Stoke-on-Trent.

This vase has an elegant mottled finish where thin glazes have been applied to the sides of the vessel and allowed to run and merge with each other to give a watery finish.

The vase is marked to the underside with the printed Sylvac backstamp and moulded marks for the pattern reference and Made in England.

It was probably made in the 1950s.

In good condition with no chips or cracks.
