Sylvac Hyacinth Leaf Vase
If you follow our stock updates for vintage pieces you will recognise this pattern and know that we are fans. Produced by the Staffordshire based pottery Sylvac in the late 1950s or early 1960s this pattern was known as ‘hyacinth’ and was designed across various different shaped vessels including this vase which was pattern reference 2456.
The hyacinth range also appeared in other different coloured glazes including yellow and green but this creamy white colour is perhaps the one that fits in best with today’s interiors. The vase is in good condition with no chips or cracks but does have some staining to the inside of the vessel.
If you are going to use it as a vase it would benefit from some scrunched up large gauge chicken wire to help support the stems of your flowers and foliage.
