Compagnie de Provence liquid Marseille soap. Made in France, using traditional methods – and a cauldron. Free of colouring agents and animal fats it comes in a 300ml recyclable plastic bottle. Fragrances blended in Grasse, the home of fragrance, by the same hand that creates the fragrances for Comme des Garçons.

Compagnie de Provence was born from the imagination of two Frenchmen in 1990 when they established their company in Marseille. Aware of the reputation of the square blocks of Marseille soap, a reputation that had been held in high esteem since the 17th Century, they sought to re-interpret the product which had largely been supplanted by industrial detergents and chemically fragranced soaps. In 1999 they developed a liquid interpretation of the famous soap and have been adding to their roster of fragranced products ever since.

Please note Compagnie de Provence liquid soaps can become cloudy when exposed to cold conditions. The soap will gradually revert to being clear as it acclimatises to a standard room temperature.
