Steel Rolex Oyster Precision Ref. 6422 vintage wristwatch, dated 1957
A handsome stainless steel manually wound centre seconds wristwatch with Rolex Jubilee bracelet

This is a very handsome example of the Ref. 6422 Oyster. The silvered dial is in lovely condition and has a silk matte silvered surface with raised, multi-faceted, dagger numerals. Reference 6422 has a case diameter of 35mm and is one of the larger ‘time only’, manually wound, Oysters of the period. The stainless steel case retains good definition with typical, polished, chamfered bezel and screw-down Oyster crown and case back. The watch is fitted with a detachable, stainless steel Rolex U.S.A. Jubilee bracelet; the watch can also be worn with a leather strap if preferred.

Rolex calibre 1210 manually wound movement, lever escapement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, 18,000 BPH, Kif shock absorber; silvered dial, twin-faceted raised dagger numerals, Alpha hands, blued steel centre seconds; polished stainless steel Rolex Oyster case, the tops of the lugs with satin finish, chamfered bezel, screw-down Rolex crown and case back; case, dial and movement signed; set to a detachable stainless steel Rolex U.S.A. Jubilee bracelet and folding clasp.
