Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Ref. 16014 steel vintage wristwatch, circa 1983
A stainless steel automatic centre seconds wristwatch with white gold reeded bezel, date, Rolex Jubilee bracelet, accompanied by a Rolex presentation case, card outer box, Datejust instruction booklet and Rolex folder with further leaflet

This is a great example of the classic Rolex Datejust Ref. 16014, with a stainless steel case and white gold reeded bezel. The model was launched by Rolex in 1977 and production continued until 1988. The present example dates to 1983 and has a lovely satin finished silvered dial that is in excellent original condition. Automatically wound, this model incorporates Rolex’s calibre 3035 movement which was the first Datejust movement to incorporate a fast date change facility, allowing the date to be quickly advanced, when required, via an extra setting to the crown. The movement also features a hack feature which will stop the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out to adjust the time, thereby allowing easy synchronisation to a time signal. This watch is fitted with its original and detachable, Rolex Jubilee model 62510 bracelet, there is slight stretch to the bracelet links.

This watch is accompanied by a Rolex green leather and wood presentation case and card outer box, Rolex Datejust instruction booklet and Rolex green plastic folder containing further booklet. Please note that the original certificate is not present.

As part of this watch’s service and overhaul, it has been sealed and pressure tested for water resistance up to 100m.
