Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King-Date Ref. 5700 steel vintage wristwatch, dated 1969
A stainless steel automatic centre seconds wristwatch with date and bracelet
A classic ‘everyday’ wristwatch the Air-King-Date Ref.5700 was introduced by Rolex in the 1960s. Similar in design to the Ref.5500 Air-King, the 5700 features a date aperture and a slightly larger case with a diameter of 35mm. This example of the model has an unusual, light grey, ‘linen’ finished silvered dial. The watch is fitted with its original sprung riveted link Rolex Oyster bracelet which is in good overall condition for its age with slight stretch to one of the links.
As part of this watch’s service and overhaul it has been pressured tested for water resistance for depths up to 100 metres.
