Railway Building – Factory Building John Ambler

This model railway building would have been sold originally in a kit form and the original purchaser (or recipient) would then have put and glued together the sections to create the structure.

While these were sold as the preserve of the model railway enthusiast they are as interesting to those of us interested in architecture and miniaturisation. I’m presuming that John Ambler is a completely fabricated company, but I do appreciate their raised level loading doors and also the angled roof of their factory, presumably designed to maximise constant north light.
