Five Misfits – Beatrice Alemagna
We are big fans of Beatrice Alemagna’s previous books – A Lion in Paris, What is a Child, Fluffy, Squishy, Itty, Bitty and On a Magical Do Nothing Day and our regard for her work continues with this book.
The five misfits all live together in a lop-sided house and all have self identified faults. The surprise arrival of someone at their house who appears to be perfect and that person’s lack of respect for the misfits allows the misfits to look again at their ‘faults’ and see them as positive traits . . . and attitude that completely floors their ‘perfect’ visitor.
A great book, beautifully illustrated that tells the story of the strength and resolve that can come from not fitting in and not seeing oddities as failings.
