Description
A3 Red Tins Riso Print
There is something very appealing about lots of food packaging . . . even if the contents of the packaging aren’t that appealing in themselves. In this print Louise Lockhart, the person behind The Printed Peanut, harnesses the graphic qualities of some food tins and bottles and translates them into this risograph. There are some familiar graphics included from the Ortiz sardines tin to the Campbell’s tomato soup tin
The print is made via the risograph process. Risograph machines are a bit like an odd photocopier where the individual colours are applied to the paper one at a time. There are individual variations that occur to each print in the course of this process.
There’s a great video on the risograph process that you can see here.
This print is on A3 card and therefore easy to find off-the-shelf frames for. It is signed and dated in pencil by the artist: Louise Lockhart. It would make a great print for a kitchen.
Louise runs the stationery brand The Printed Peanut and is based in Yorkshire.
