This book is one with everyday asian recipes and stories from the heart. Hetty McKinnon grew up with the food that her mother prepared and the recipes in this book are a homage to the Asian tradition of cooking that she encountered as a child. The recipes are plant based and show the versatility of these cooking traditions to make food that is hearty, nourishing and deeply flavourful all at once.
Among the recipes that I am already planning to give a whirl are those for ginger and spring onion miso-glazed aubergine, Singapore noodles with corn and cauliflower and the one for a banana and black sesame loaf.
