This print is by the artist James Brown. James works predominantly with screenprint and lino print as well as illustration work for books and other media.
This lino print is from his mixed message collection of lino prints. All of the prints are printed by hand and are from an open edition. Each of the lino prints is slightly different from one another owing to different pressure when the ink is applied.
The origin of the print is when James carves into the lino in order to create the incisions in the surface which are the bits that result in the non-black sections of the print, ie the text, socks, skirting board and wallpaper detail in this print.
The print measures A3 which means that it can easily be hung in an off-the-shelf frame or can be hung via a Creamore Mill poster hanger.
Printed on 350gsm off white paper.
