Frost Fair – Carol Ann Duffy
Carol Ann Duffy’s new Christmas poem, Frost Fair, is inspired by the fairs held on the frozen river Thames when it iced over for periods of the Little Ice Age at the end of the 17th Century. We follow the narrator of the poem and she explores the ‘town on the Thames’, a temporary encampment of tents housing jubilant residents and lively festive revelry.
The poem has been illustrated by David De Las Heras.
