This Phaidon publication is a celebration of the one-of-a-kind creativity of Paul Smith. It’s a beautifully produced book, with a soft card loose cover with stitch detailing and multiple inserted sections throughout the main body of the book.
Through the lens of 50 objects chosen by Paul Smith the book explores the the inspiration that they have given him over the course of his life and career.
The book opens with a foreword by Jonathan Ive, former Chief Designer at Apple and goes on to provide unprecedented insight into the creative mind of on of the UK’s most consistent and respected designers. The objects include a book about the Bauhaus, a collection of miniature models of rabbits, a Dieter Rams radio for Braun and a painting of Venice Lido by Patrick Procktor.
