Completely Perfect – Felicity Cloake
I often find myself relying on the Guardian’s ‘How to Make the Perfect’ columns and here the articles and final recipes are collated together in one tome.
From a chocolate mousse recipe that has become a reliable go to recipe in our household and saved much swearing over split semi molten chocolate to recipes for perfect fishcakes, bearnaise sauce and hummus.
Cloake’s writing is as thorough and entertaining as ever and while you don’t get the breakdown of the recipes that have been tested and amended in order to arrive at the perfect version as you do in the newspaper column, the book is still one that can be read from start to finish with the instructions logged for future reference.
Paperback. 460 pages.
