Description
Pair of Keele Street Pottery Vases
A pair of vases is always a good thing to have in ones arsenal of flower vestibules. They can sit symmetrically on a mantelpiece or can be used to extend a display of flowers on a dining table.
This pair was made by Keele Street Pottery, probably in the late 1950s or early 1960s.
Keele Street Pottery was established in 1915. Manufacturing was suspended in 1941 under the Concentration of Industries Act and the factory was used to store shell cases. The business was reactivated in 1946, after the war. This pair of vases probably date to the early 1950s.
They have the impressed KSP mark to the underside – this is clearer on one of the pieces than the other.
There is one minor hairline crack to one of the vases – shown in the close up photo.
