Harold Harvey was one of the leading figures of the Newlyn School of Art, the enclave of artists that was concentrated around the West Cornwall fishing village at the end of the 19th Century and early years of the 20th Century. The school of artists also included Stanhope Forbes, Dod Procter, Laura Knight and others.
