Omega Speedmaster Professional Ref. 3570.5000 “Full Set” steel chronograph wristwatch, sold in 2013

An iconic stainless steel chronograph wristwatch with black dial, bracelet, original presentation cases, warranty cards, booklets and swing tag

The Omega Speedmaster is one of the most iconic chronograph models ever made. Famously, it was a Speedmaster Professional that Buzz Aldrin wore when he stepped on the moon in 1969 – ever since, this model has been known as the Moon Watch.

Measuring 42mm in diameter, this chronograph has a matt black dial with Luminova luminescent baton indexes and hands. The flat black bezel is calibrated for tachymeter and the steel case has flaring sides with combinations of polished and satin finishes. The stainless steel bracelet is detachable and this watch may be worn with a strap if preferred. A model 1998/849 bracelet, this (together with 1998/840) was the first Speedmaster bracelet to feature two side buttons to the clasp which not only ensures a secure closure, but makes it easier for the user to open. This 1998 series bracelet is also broader than previous versions, tapering from 20mm to 18mm, rather than the 16mm of earlier examples, this gives the bracelet a sturdier, heavier feel.

Direct from the original owner, this watch is in excellent condition having been only lightly used and is complete with all of its original accessories. This watch has been pressured tested for water-resistance for depths up to 50 metres.
