Omega Seamaster Ref. 165.002 sold 1968 | steel automatic vintage wristwatch
A great looking example of the Seamaster Ref. 165.002, this watch has a silvered dial with an excellent lustre and richly toned applied gold hour indexes. The steel case has a sharp, flat bezel and angular lugs. The watch is accompanied by a red Omega presentation case and Omega guarantee booklet. The guarantee booklet appears to have been incorrectly annotated at the point of original sale since the 8 digit serial number of the present watch and the 8 digit serial number quoted on the guarantee booklet are identical save for their last digit. On the guarantee booklet the serial number ends with a ‘1’ while the movement’s ends with a ‘0’.
The watch retains its Omega signed crystal and crown, we have not had the case re-polished during servicing and there are some light scuffs and scratches.
