Omega Ref. 2504 -2 circa 1948

A steel 36mm manually wound vintage wristwatch with original presentation case

At 36mm in diameter the Ref. 2504 is one of the largest models produced by Omega during the 1940s. This is a particularly handsome version of the model with a beautiful and well balanced two-tone dial. The main dial body has a silk-matt, silvered finish, while the chapter ring for minutes/seconds is calibrated with a higher satin sheen.

Manually wound, this watch is powered by Omega’s calibre 30T2 SC.PC which was one of the first of the firm’s famous 30 series calibres to be fitted with Incabloc shock resistance. This calibre was also fitted with 17 jewels rather than the 16 jewels of the previous generation of 30 series movements with centre seconds.

This watch retains its original easel-form Omega presentation case and broad steel Omega buckle with deep-set logo. The buckle has an 18mm gauge, matching that of the lugs, and we have fitted the watch with a handmade, untapered, parallel leather watch strap.
