Omega Genève Ref. 136.0102 steel vintage wristwatch sold in 1976

A stainless steel manually wound centre seconds wristwatch with original bracelet, box and papers

Measuring 36mm in diameter this watch’s steel case has a satin finished body and the contrasting polished chamfered bezel is slightly recessed below the tops of the substantial down-turned lugs. Ref. 136.0102 was available either with a leather strap or steel bracelet and the present example retains its original, detachable, model 1193 Omega bracelet.  This stylish bracelet has flexible yet relatively thick ‘hinge’ links which are satin finished to compliment the style of the case. The bracelet end pieces are perfectly formed to provide a flush-fit with the watch’s case. The winding crown is equipped with two settings – when the crown is pulled out to its first setting, the date can be moved either forwards or backwards by rolling the crown in either direction; by pulling the crown out to its second setting, the hack feature engages, thereby stopping the seconds hand to allow accurate synchronisation to a time signal.

This watch is accompanied by a red Omega presentation case and the original Omega guarantee booklet which notes a date of sale in November 1976. There is also a further “You and Your Omega” booklet and two spare bracelet links.
