Omega Cal. 283 hallmarked 1952-53

A 9ct gold manually wound centre seconds vintage wristwatch

This wonderfully charismatic vintage Omega has a beautiful two-tone dial – the main dial body has a silk-matt silvered finish and contrasts with the chapter ring for minutes/seconds which is calibrated in a higher satin sheen. The hours are composed of gold foiled Arabic numerals at the quarters with raised triangular indexes at the intervening hours. The watch is accompanied by a vintage easel-form Omega presentation case.

The solid 9ct yellow gold case was made for Omega by the Dennison case company and is classically designed with a smooth chamfered bezel and gently down-turned lugs. There are some small scratches to the back from past opening.
