Darassa Stone Bowl
This stone bowl by Nkuku is carved in Rajasthan from a type of marble which is called Banswara marble. As with most hand made objects there is something pleasingly tactile about the bowl and the sense of the labour that has gone in to forming the bowl.
Similarly, as with other hand made items, there may be a difference in stone colour from one bowl to another and there may be blemishes and evidence of the carving that has made the bowl.
Could be used as a dish for serving a pool of homemade hummous or equally could be the vestibule in the kitchen where you store eggs, or garlic, onions, ginger and chillis. I suspect that the paperiness of a garlic and onion skin would look quite stylish against the stone.
