Tweed Emphasize Blanket – Oatmeal
This blanket is woven from soft merino wool by Mourne Textiles who are based at the foot of the Mourne mountain range in Northern Ireland. Although soft to fell it is a relatively thick blanket providing the requisite density to keep you warm and light enough to feel comfortable.
The fabric was designed by Gerd Hay Edie for the Irish fashion designer Sybil Connolly for use in her 1956 Spring collection. The weave used in this blanket creates a highly textured, dappled appearance and the soft Donegal merino yarn used in the fabric has coloured flecks throughout which add interest and individual beauty.
