Longines Flagship Ref. 103 invoiced 1959 | steel manual vintage wristwatch
A stainless steel manually wound centre seconds wristwatch
The watch has an elegant silvered dial with elongated baton indexes and an inner minute/seconds track which runs between the inner tips of the hour indexes. The bezel has a relatively steep chamfer which allows the dial a larger surface area and the use of the elongated hour markers further enhance its perceived size. To the case back the watch is engraved with the Longines Flagship emblem, this has been polished in the past so has lost some definition, however, it is still complete and the photograph with darkened background shows the engraving taken in a raking light.
The Longines Archives note that this Ref. 103 Flagship watch, numbered 10.678.760 was invoiced to their UK Agent, Baume & Co., on 22 December 1959. The archives do not mention a chronometer rating for this watch.
