Church Screenprint by Kate Gibb – Turquoise
We have a series of screen prints made by acclaimed artist and illustrator, Kate Gibb, in 2010. These prints were a personal project that Kate using found images and then printing them by hand in different colours.
The print is a two colour process with a background flat colour having been first applied to the paper and the exposed image then overprinted on top of that colour.
As well as this found image we have a print that features one of the Lippizaner horses from the Spanish riding school in Vienna and an image of a woman. This image is of the Notre Dame de la Garde in France.
Kate’s work spans fine art and illustration. She has produced memorable work for a wide variety of clients; from iconic record covers for the Chemical Brothers to distinctive reworking of photographs for Dries van Noten and artwork for the windows of Folk.
These prints are printed on high grade paper with a deckle edge. The image doesn’t cover the entire surface of the paper and measurements below give both the printed area and also the whole paper size. The prints have Kate’s embossed blindstamp which reads ‘This is an original screenprint’.
Prints will be sent out in poster tubes.
