Wooden Puzzle – Truncated – Oak

These wooden puzzles are made for Black Bough by local craftsman Kai Venus. I approached Kai to make these for us based in the ash version that we have called ‘the original’. I suspected that Kai would enjoy both the end product and the process of developing and making them. From the original version Kai came up with two further variations – ‘star’ and ‘truncated’.

Although these are puzzles there is a really lovely sculptural quality to the assembled form.

This is the truncated version made from oak.

The puzzles are made up from 6 individual identical pieces that slot together to form the whole. There is a knack to doing this.

We are sending the puzzles out in their completed state, whether you choose to take them apart and then put them back together is entirely up to you!

There are 4 different sizes and variations.
