Junghans Max Bill Ref. 027/4701.00 steel automatic wristwatch
Max Bill designed his first wristwatches for Junghans in 1961. Staying true to Bill’s design ethos, Junghans’ new watches follow the same pared-down look of the originals. With its classic slim hour indexes, this model features the most minimalist dial in the series. The black dial has a rich, silk matt finish.
Produced by Junghans in consultation with the heirs of the designer and the Max, Binia & Jakob Bill Foundation. Head over to our Journal where you’ll find a brief potted history of Max Bill together with pictures of the man himself and some of his creations.
With the convenience of an automatic movement, the Junghans calibre J800.1 also features a hack feature. When the crown is pulled out to set the time, the seconds hand will stop thereby allowing easy synchronisation. There is quick adjustment for the date via the crown.
