Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope Ref. 027/4601.00 steel automatic chronograph
This Junghans Chronoscope model is an excellent adaptation of Max Bill’s original watch design. The black dial has a fantastic silk matt sheen and minimalist baton indications. Two sub counters to the dial record hours and minutes. All tracks are printed in contrasting silver paint. Pressing the upper pusher starts and stops the chronograph, the lower pusher resets. An aperture at 3 o’clock displays the date and there is quick adjustment for this indication via the crown. A mechanical automatically wound watch, this Chronoscope will keep itself powered while you’re wearing it.
Produced by Junghans in consultation with the heirs of the designer and the Max, Binia & Jakob Bill Foundation. Head over to our Journal where you’ll find a brief potted history of Max Bill together with pictures of the man himself and some of his creations.
