Description
Jaeger-LeCoultre gold vintage wristwatch, hallmarked 1954
A 9ct yellow gold centre seconds wristwatch with stepped and flared lugs
In lovely original condition, this Jaeger-LeCoultre wristwatch has a light champagne coloured dial with raised Arabic numerals. The gold case is in un-polished condition, retaining excellent definition to its angles and edges with a stepped and chamfered bezel and handsome flared and stepped lugs. There are light scuffs and scratches to the case. The silvered dial has a lovely lustre with only minor, light oxidation to the surface.
The gold case was made for Jaeger-LeCoultre by the London based case makers, De Trevars Ltd., whose sponsor’s mark of DTE is stamped to the inside case back. De Trevars supplied Jaeger-LeCoultre with a range of high quality wristwatch cases, including gold cases for some of the watchmaker’s famous Geophysic models.
This watch is fitted with a new Christopher Clarke for Black Bough brown lizard leather watch strap.
