Description
Serving Bowl with Fluted Rim
This is the fabled bowl that Nigel Slater said he was desirous of in the selection of potters that were featured in The Observer recently. The bowl is made from stoneware and has a celadon glaze.
The knife edge fluting lines the inside surface of the bowl from the rim downwards. The very base of the bowl is unglazed and Isatu’s monogram is stamped just above the foot of the bowl.
As with the rest of Isa’s work this is a handsome piece that reminds you of the joy of well made hand thrown pottery. Supremely tactile and extremely elegant. You could use it for fruit, for salad, or for an indecently high pile of profiteroles!
