Description
Pasta Bowl with White Celadon Glaze
In the absence of having the facilities to make a decent bowl of pasta in the same location as I have our photographic set up I have abandoned the penne or orrechiette in favour of some striped small aubergines!
However . . . . a bowl of pasta with homemade pesto and additional parmesan is what I am now dreaming of!
These bowls are made of stoneware and are hand thrown by Isatu Hyde in her north Herefordshire studio. This is a classic, elegnat and versatile form. Don’t feel that the pasta name is prescriptive they would make a great bowl for salad, risotto . . . even cereal.
The white celadon glaze is not a bright white rather a muted greyish colour which has flecks of intrigue across its surface. The foot of the bowl is unglazed and Isatu’s stamped monogram sits just above the foot.
Handwashing advised.
Each of the bowls is thrown and glazed by hand there are therefore individual differences to each piece.
