International Watch Co. Cal. 62 hallmarked 1954| 9ct gold manual vintage wristwatch
A wonderful vintage IWC wristwatch this model has a silvered dial with raised Arabic numerals and an outer pearled minute ring. The dial retains an excellent lustre with some very light and minor oxidation. There are substantial flared lugs to the case which give the watch excellent shaping both to the front and profile views. Made for the UK market, the gold case was manufactured for IWC by the English case maker David Shackman & Sons whose stamp appears to the inside case back. Shackman produced cases for a number of watchmakers including IWC, Rolex, Tudor and Omega.
We have fitted the watch with a handmade Chris Clarke for Black Bough, wild boar strap.
