Glass sand timer by HAY

This HAY timer glass – it seems ridiculous to call it an hour glass – is the perfect accompaniment to helping you with your poached eggs. It takes 3 minutes for the sand to drop from one side to the other . . . a more gentle reminder to lift your eggs from their slightly vinegary bath than the nagging beep of an oven timer.

It comes in four variations; one is made from clear glass and has black sand, another has green/blue sand and two differently coloured ends to the glass, one blue and the other clear, the others are a nude pink and clear and silver with clear glass. The silver and nude colourways come in individual boxes as they are the autumn 2017 versions – the other two colours do not have individual boxes.
