Barro Candleholder – Light Blue

This candlestick is designed by the Portugese designer Rui Pereira for HAY. The collection of objects is called Barro which means red clay in Portugese and is, aptly, made from terracotta clay. The candle holder has a very wide base which gives excellent stability and and wide drip tray section which helps to catch and falling molten wax.

The holder takes a standard diameter candlestick (approx 22mm) though it will be easier to install the kind of dinner candle that has a fluted base (just for this very scenario). Or you might need one of those candle sharpeners which carve a point to the bottom end of your candle.
