Hanging Bird Cards by Mark Hearld – Pack of 6

Hanging Bird Card by Mark Hearld

This is for a pack of 6 cards – 1 of each colourway.

Mark Hearld originally designed this card for Art Angels back in 2012. This new flock of birds was released earlier this year in the same format as the previous cards but with new colourways. The birds aren’t based on any particular variety, in fact they most remind me of Quentin Blake’s illustrations for Roald Dahl’s Cockatoo.

The wings of the bird fold out and reveal a blue hanging ribbon from which you can hang your bird directly or with some additional thread attached to the ribbon hang them from a greater height. As well as a joyous card they have a great life span as a mobile or hanging decoration for an Easter Tree . . . . side note, when did Easter Trees become a thing?!

The envelope that comes with each card is a dusky turquoise colour and there is an accompanying flat card with room for a message.

Measurements (when flat): approx 21cm x 15cm
