Gluggle Jug – Large – Pale Blue

Glug Glug jugs were first made by Thomas Forester in Staffordshire in the late 1870s. So called because of the glug glug noise that the jug makes as liquid is poured from it. This sound occurs owing the internal design of the jug. The design was popularised by Dartmouth Pottery in the 20th Century and Wade bought the moulds for these jugs from Dartmouth when they closed in 2002.

We have the largest iteration of these jugs in five different colours:  pale blue, sea green, sage green, grey and green. The jug has a capacity of 1.3 litres which means that it holds approx 5-6 water glasses worth; a good size for a dinner table. The new version of these jugs includes colourways that will fit with modern interiors and look equally good when not in use, or when used alternatively as a vase.
