Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic gold plated & steel vintage wristwatch, circa 1968
A gold plated and stainless steel automatic centre seconds wristwatch with date, guarantee booklet and presentation case
In lovely condition this watch has a crisp, clean design with a satin finished silvered dial that is accented with multi-faceted indexes. The crystal has a magnified sector above the date aperture, this magnification is contained within the crystal and therefore the surface of the crystal remains smooth and flat. The two-part case has a gold plated upper body and separate screw-down case back. There is some wear to the plating to the rim at the underside of the case, but this is not visible from the front. The watch is automatically wound and incorporates a semi-quick date change facility – whilst the date will change each day at midnight, it can be advances, when required, by moving the hands backwards and forwards between 9pm and 1am.
This watch is accompanied by a Girard Perregaux presentation case and guarantee booklet.
