Broadwell Glass Bowl on Stand
This glass stand is crying out for a dessert; preferably a dessert that involves layers of cream and cake. This could be a tiramisu , or equally could be a trifle . . . . I’m the pedant who doesn’t think jelly has any place in a trifle . . . . in my book a trifle should comprise sponge cake followed by fruit (preferably really juicy blackcurrants) followed by cream that hasn’t been over-whipped, followed by toasted, flaked almonds. Don’t let anyone tell you that I’m a fussy eater, I think Mr Nigel Slater might agree with me on this front!
Away from the cream and sponge puddings it could also hold a pile of meringues or profiteroles, or . . . . for the more virtuously inclined a surfeit of grapes. But think how much more satisfying it would be to bring a fully formed dessert to the table in this bowl as opposed to a bunch of grapes.
The broadwell glass bowl on stand is made from recycled glass and therefore has the slightly greenish tint to it that is characteristic of recycled glass.
As well as this bowl we also stock the carafe from the same range.
Hand wash recommended.
