Description
Bone China Wobbly Bowl
Although this bowl is called ‘wobbly’ it actually doesn’t wobble at all. It is made from bone china in Stoke on Trent and the form is based on old evaporating bowl that were used in dairies and creameries. The foot of the bowl makes it look a bit like it is floating on top of a table surface.
Bone china is a really tactile material and the translucence that it has is particularly pleasing. This bowl also has a lip which can be used for pouring but equally could be used as the resting position for serving spoons or salad servers.
The bowl is fully glazed on the inside surface but the outside surface is only half glazed (the top half). It is difficult to show this in the photographs . . . but I have tried!
The Freight logo is stamped to the underside but is not intrusive. Would make a great salad bowl, or vessel for some roast vegetables. Equally it could sit on your kitchen surface and house lemon, ginger and garlic; all the things that I like to have to hand.
