Bone China Breakfast Cup

This cup is another variant in the range of bone china cups that we stock by Freight. They are all made from bone china and are made in Stoke on Trent, the historic home of the ceramics industry in the UK.

This broad shaped cup is perhaps more formal than the straight sided tea mug and I think particularly suited to a herbal tea or a cup of hot water and lemon. You can really warm your hands on the bowl of the cup while you are drinking from it.

As with the other bone china pieces from this company this cup manages to be classically elegant but modern. The ribbed sides hark back to Wedgwood production from the 1960s while the shape of the cup and handle predate that. Whether your morning cup of tea is a rushed mug of Yorkshire tea made in the cup itself with a tea bag or a more considered moment involving the brewing of loose leaf tea in a teapot and then ceremonially pouring the tea from pot to cup this breakfast cup will make the whole process more enjoyable.
