Description
Picardie Glasses – 13cl – Box of 6
This is the most diminutive of the three picardie glasses that we stock – the other sizes are 22cl and 36cl.
The design is a classic one that was first designed in 1927 and has been produced in tempered glass since 1945. The tempering process involves heating the glass and then cooling it rapidly with blasts of cool air. The result is a glass that is less likely to chip and if you were to smash the glass it would shatter into lots of small pieces rather than dangerously sharp shards. For this resilience the glass has found use in schools and industrial canteens as well as cafés and restaurants.
This size glass is perhaps best suited to a jolt of fruit juice at breakfast but could also be put to use for a chilled glass of sherry or dessert wine later in the day.
As well as this faceted picardie design we also stock the banded gigogne design.
